ELOT EN ISO 9001:2008
AEIFOROS implements a well-organised Quality Assurance System that has been certified as per ISO 9001:2000 in 2006, which ensures the manufacturing of products meeting Standard requirements as well as any customer's special requirements.

ELOT EN 13043
AEIFOROS S.A. is the sole company in Greece that produces hard aggregates for road and airfield with production control certification according to EN 13043.

ELOT EN ISO 14001:2004
In 2009 AEIFOROS' environmental management system was assessed and found to be fully in conformity with the requirements of standards ELOT EN ISO 14001:2004.

Environmental Distinction

The first prize in the category Ecological Products has been awarded to AEIFOROS S.A. during a ceremony at Athens Opera on 30/05/06, in the framework of the Greek Business Awards for the Environment 2005-2006 organised by the Panhellenic Association of Environmental Protection Companies. The Greek Awards are part of the European  Business Awards for the Environment.

The first prize has been awarded to AEIFOROS S.A. for the production of hard aggregates from the recycling of Electric Arc Furnace Slag. The excellent mechanical properties of the produced aggregates are well above international and national requirements for road construction hard aggregates. AEIFOROS road aggregates have been used in Greece for the construction of main motorways and highways.
The industrial production of road aggregates from slag recycling takes people and environment on safer roads.

AEIFOROS S.A. is a subsidiary of  SIDENOR S.A. and is involved in the recycling of industrial by-products, contributing significantly to the protection of the environment. Production facilities are located in Almyros (near Volos), in Thessaloniki (Northern Greece), and in Bulgaria. The Quality Assurance System applied by the company has received certification according to ELOT EN ISO 9001:2000.
